Went to my local post office on the 26th of march and bought my licence. No sign of it by last Monday so phoned them. "No problem" he said "we'll put a replacement in the post". Still no licence yet:rolleyes:
Will be having a couple of night's on a local pool before the season starts where I found a dead one a few weeks ago (as posted on the other eel thread:)).
All the best Tatty.
Phoned them last winter to report some illegal fishing. When I got my bill it had cost me £1.25. It seems unjust that the phone company should make so much profit from us when we're only doing our duty.

No excuse really as I live within half hour drive of the Teme, W'Avon,Severn, Lugg and Wye and I know there all...
My mate and me had 7 chub up to 4.10. Which seemed a bit slow as the river looked perfect. Was wondering what others caught and what they were fishing for?
Bought a sharpener from sportfish many years ago and use it all the time.
They don't seem to do exactly the same but the pen type is similar.

I found it on the bank's of the Teme but within 150yds of a private pool which was rumured to hold 6lb eel's many year's ago.
A mate did catch a near 4 from there a few years ago.
Before you ask yes I can fish it! And will be having a couple of night sessions...
chub hooks

I tend to agree with Colin on hook patterns. I use either drennan super specialist's or kamasan B980's usually with the barb crimped down unless I'm using worm then will leave the barb alone. But saying that I'm not using a hair and mostly using bread flake. I have...
Had this stonking Ruffe from the lower Severn last winter
