I fish the lower itchen, I always used red maggots, until last season, got speaking to someone fishing it and he was using corn. I haven't used maggots since, a lot cheaper too.

Had my first trip of the season on Sunday. Weather was awful but managed 12 Grayling, and a few out of season brownies. Good stamp of fish most of them over a 1lb.

I fish the lower itchen for grayling, and use the 15ft acolyte plus. It's not the grayling I have problems with it's the trout steaming off , doubling the rod over, I'm normally chasing the bloody things along the bank.

Bobco had an eBay shop, I spent enough on there . Quite a lot of shops use it.

Hi Andy , Have you thought about making it a members only site ? I look at the viewing figures and it's normally 10 guests to 1 member on here. It's a fantastic forum, and most members would im sure pay at least £10 a year for the running costs. Donation done 👍

Hi Chris What year is this from? I have one of the tournament harrier rods, brought it second hand , must have been early 90s. I paid £100 , a whole weeks wages back then.
