One of the best rod Shimano ever made. It was made in Japan if I remember correctly. I don’t know why people think this rod is not sought after, in fact it is, search on eBay, most of them went around 100-120, and the condition is not as good as yours.

Same here, I only have two 12ft rods, for flood water fishing, so I can keep as much line out of the water as possible.

No, not all quality rods use cork handle. Consider browning spheres rods, best float rod ever, but with full Eva handle.

I also have the 1939 aerial match and the float master su. Brilliant reel especially the 1939 aerial. Chris made the first 50 with narrow drum just like the original and wider drum for the remaining. I do wish he will take order again as I want the 1915 Avon, but chances are slim.
