Question for the braid users out there

I have used braid as mainline for 30 years, have had no issues with it that I wouldn't have had with mono. I started with fireline but many years ago changed to power pro, original and now super slick. Regarding knot strength have had no issues using a grinner, I use super slick timber brown...

    A conflict of interest?

    Ticket price increase.

One of the reasons Joe is that they use us as eyes and ears, on one of our stretches we regularly inform the farmer about sheep in the river.

    Ticket price increase.

Most leases increase every year by inflation and in order to keep the waters and the clubs solvent clubs have to increase prices. As far as I am aware all clubs are non profit making, the profits they make are banked to be in a position to lease/buy other waters that become available. Here in...

    Head torches and swim disturbance

I have watched and caught barbel on the Lee using a headtorch and on the subject of noise I have used a petrol strimmer on the Avon 6 foot from a shoal of chub in 2 foot of water and they never moved. Another day you could put a foot gently down and they would all spook.

End of an era, for me

Good luck Paul, fully understand your decision. I am lucky in that my legs haven't given up yet but age is catching up, now choose swims near to where I park. Has anybody else noticed that the best swims are always the furthest ones. I don't go fishing anywhere near as many times as I used to...
