Got one of these and I'm not sure I like it. Big fat blank, unforgiving action and tc well beyond 2lb - approaching 2.5 I'd say. Feels like a carp rod. Possibly an acquired taste, I'd recommend auditioning one before buying. M

Concur with Jez. I seem to find myself attached to 2 fish at the same time at least once a year such are the shoal sizes on the mid Severn and it's never resulted in a lost fish.....or a missed bite (but I think that's a completely different 'old chestnut'!) M

I consider myself a rational chap, however have long held the view that the 'curse of new tackle' will significantly reduce my chances of catching when using a new piece of kit for the first time. Everything needs at least one airing before I'm confident it will contribute to a fish on the end...
