    Hello Neil , I use them all the time , found them to be great hooks . I’ve only had a couple of hook pulls with pallatrax, percentage wise minimal. I really rate them .

    I can understand that , although I can’t imagine the smaller diameter would make a huge amount of difference regarding resistance. Fundamentally it’s what ever one feels confident using .

    Exactly, barbel bites are generally ferocious and not at all shy , like skimmers or roach . Each to their own , but not for me . I’ll stick to mono .
