Don't know what mine is but its a flood rod i purchased direct from Harrisons. 12 foot with no test curve indicated on blank (not a Torrix). All i can say is that it is fantastic. lots of power in the butt and an incredible sensitive tip, highly recommended.
Hi Chris, i own several Harrison rods and damaged one of a pair. Sent the rod to Harrisons, after talking to them. It came back with a new top section and you cannot tell the two apart. Top service.
You can get loads of problems with line twist. I don't like diawa sensor as when it gets stretched you have loads of twist problems. I use berkley big game clear 1/4 spools about £10. There is a great video on the Drennan website on how to load line, like them i always soak my line for 24hrs...
Thanks.
I intent to walk along the venues on the severn and w avon this spring before i start fishing them, will try an purchase one of these booklets.
Thanks for the replies, yes i have looked at the BAA website. My question is are the venues near to the M50 worth fishing? No to worried about fishing at night, if they are around you can catch them in daylight. I am used to fishing the Thames which can be a ball breaker at times but well worth...
Hi to all of you fellow barbel nutters.
I have just joined the BAA for the first time, cannot believe how cheap it is!
I am now retired, so can spend more time fishing. Can anyone who is a regular BAA angler point me towards venues that are near to the M50, as i will be driving up from...
The river Thames from Sandford to Radley, on the tow path bank has had all the trees and i mean all the trees cut down. This a two mile stretch, they have left much of the fallen trees etc in the river. This an act of total vandalism, i suspect it was done by radley college so they could improve...
Derek, which Paul are you talking about! I worked for the NHS for 36 years and had access to the patients notes electronic data base. We had to change our password every six weeks. Think this is a bit of an overkill for this site. Bored with this now.
Ha Ha, I don't log very often just look at barbel talk, to my surprise i see a post with my name on it regarding a venue of the Thames! I never post about venues of any river, just because idiots and glory hunters will invade that stretch and the people who have done all the hard work and money...
Not worried about the post. Think they were trying to get info on Thames venues, i never tell anyone where i fish, let alone on this site. More annoyed by message as they were slagging another angler. I have a few ideas who it could be. Ps just back from the Thames has a bit of colour and flow...
I have just read a post regarding the Thames and some private messages. This post and various messages were not written by me. To the person who did this i have now changed all my details.:mad::mad::mad:
