Nice try Chris but we all know you just Googled 'The Force'! ;) It's OK - i'm an atheist who hates Star Wars but you need to know this sh!t for pub quizzes, crosswords etc.
Was going to mention The Hook Bait company in my earlier post, spoke to Darren a few times on FB and he certainly knows what he's talking about. I made enquiries regarding one of his baits, explained my situation and the way I fish and he put me on to another bait in the range as the one I...
Take a look at the catch pics coming in on that page - a couple of Wye barbel and a load of pasty sized carp from commercial puddles. Then take a look at a proper bait makers page ( Nutrabaits, Sticky Baits, Mainline etc ) - bit of a difference! What makes me laugh is the guy openly admits on...
The arms on the 36" XS-T are constructed in the same way as the IQ Strong Arm net - 12mm solid arms. Both types also have the solid metal spreader block. If you break the Shakespeare one there's plenty left here:30 Plus Camo 36 Inch Landing Net
No it doesn't! It merely prevents one from naming the stretch said catch came from. I'd wager 95% of the catch reports on this years Ribble thread have come from club stretches with a total publicity ban. ;)

Trigga shelf life was/is regarded as a better bait than the freezer baits, particularly for big Chub. With limited time on the banks for me a boilie is just another attractor bait so shelf life baits suit my fishing. There's a big difference between an attractor bait and a long term food bait...
Nice one Rich - been trying to get hold of one the same since I had a play with yours! A pair came up on the bay recently but went for silly money. Don't sell it!
Thanks guys. Looking through e-bay completed listings there has been Harrison Gti's, Torrix and a FreeSpirit Tamer in 11' for not much more than £100 so will keep my eye on the classifieds.
edit: also found this which helps...
Two things I remember well:-
(1) a post on here by a chap who had apparently had a bad day - no Barbel, just a 6lb 7oz Chub! (Northern river where 5lb'ers are still THE target)
(2) My capture of a 7" Barbel a few years ago - lovely little fish.
I'm looking for an 11' rod, 1.75lb (ish) t.c. for use with 10-12lb lines 1.5-3oz leads - big fish. Looking around at what is available off the shelf I can only find the Fox Duo Lite FX that looks half decent. Are there any others currently available? I'm in no great rush to buy as I won't be on...
Tony - are you serious? You want everyone to be a great source of info on the river threads, helping everyone out, but at the same time want the banks deserted - and if not, syndicate them to keep everyone off? Wow.
