For what you are doing a Daiwa 11/13 with a Drennan DRX fast taper 3oz tip is absolutely spot on...
Get this one..

that will do you admirably....
Any of the Daiwa 11/13's really, I have an original Whisker Kevlar version & a Connoisseur, both brilliant feeder rods, the Whisker would stop a tank I reckon...you can also get hollow tops for them to give a bit more Oomph if required.......
My pair of Insight 12' 1.75/2lb TC Barbel RB Multi-Spec rods, superb bits of Kit & Insight 12' 2.25 TC Barbel RB-SU, will out last me I reckon....
Steve Harrison certainly builds some brilliant blanks....
My Shimano XTEA's are still looking like new after about 10 years, granted not as much use as I'd like but brilliant reels if you can find some, 5000's for medium work, 6000's for the tidal....
4 Modified 506M's, Twin pick up pins, no anti-reverse, shallow match spools...won me loads of money when I was match fishing, brilliant little reels.....not suitable for animal taming tho....
Thermal Bib & Brace
This is what you are looking for....you will not get cold with these on, the jackets are bloody good too, have a look at the 7-in-1 jacket...
I've been using Airflo G3 in its various guises, & the standard G3 seems to be pretty robust, I've had a good few double figure carp in it floater fishing this summer, though you have to grease it so it stays up...
There's a decent stretch downstream of Bridgenorth just below the caravan park, my wife and I have had some success there before.
Just ask in the local tackle shop....
There is also a good stretch upstream which is run by the British Legion, and used to produce lots of smaller fish....

Alan,
No PM received but i've sent you one....
Glad its sold (hopefully) its a lovely looking rod, and a waste sitting in my rod cupboard as i'm never going to use it...
