    Old fishing floats

Hi Folks, I am looking to acquire old/vintage fishing floats. The sort of things I am looking for are mainly pre 1960 coarse & pike floats. I like anything out of the ordinary, anything with a name on it and any float that is really old. Names could include Zephyr, Elfin, Gazette and...

    The river closed season debate

Over the years I have been very traditionalist & pro closed season. Having said that when the still waters were closed also, I did make trips over the border to Lincolnshire for a closed season fix. I guess that made me a hypocrit! Having just passed my 68th birthday I am now in favour of the...

    Old Tackle that should comeback

Yes, proper soft lead shot, that doesn't damage the line, in all sizes. Before someone mentions swans, we haven't used lead for nigh on 20 years & we still get blamed for poisoning them! Discuss. Bob

Korum Barbel Specimen net - problems

I have had 2 of the large nets fail on me. The first one failed where the threaded stud is drilled to take the roll pin. The second broke 2mm from the block. Neither failed through misuse or abuse. I have overcome the problem by removing the pin roll & screwing out the remaining stub. I then...

Old screw threads that we used to use to fit a quivertip to an end eye

Hi Will, How many do you want? I have 5 quiver tips & a swing tip that I probably wont use again. The swing tip is just connected with rubber tubing & the quivers look like they are fixed with shrink tube. Best regards, Bob
