I’ve used mine for a couple of years,I’m quite short and 11stone,so far so good.after reading this thread I checked the welds and as far as I can see they appear to be fine.
There does appear to be slight variations with the chair as mine has bracing between the front legs but I’ve seen others...
Used to fish “The Bread Walk” and Steventons about 25 years ago,had some nice graying,chub and some very nice roach from there.Back then there were some decent barbel to be had as well………but that was then
There used to be some free fishing in Ludlow below Dinham Bridge down to the weir and also down Steventon Rd Rhys,if you call JMC tackle in Ludlow they may be able to help you 👍
I’ve got Avon’s,Flyweight’s and a Badger digital from way back,on checking them all with various objects they all gave the same weight per object.I use the Flyweights when out due to fact that they are the lightest and take up least room.In saying that I’ve never had a problem with them 👍👍
ESP Tungsten loaded,excellent braid,or if you want something a little stiffer(and cheaper) Bank Tackle Semi Stiff.Both straighten out nicely,plus,if you leave your rods set up (folded) this helps as well 👍👍
Korda wide gape X with half a fox curved aligner,with that you get the benefit of a curved shank hook but cos the aligner is silicone you are playing a hooked fish on a straight shank,works ok for me 👍👍
I think that was Bill Leavesly Neil,he used to run a shop in Bewdley,it was a real Alladins Cave for all manner of fishing tackle,a real nice bloke and he really knew how to catch a roach or two

Prince Albert have 4 sections on the Upper Trent,Wetmore Farm,Alrewas,Clay Mills and Mavesyn Ridware,your present set up will be fine for all of these sections and they all have history of barbel 👍
