Greys Pike Fly Rod / Okuma Reel + 2 spare spools

Greys GRXi fly rod #9 / 9 ft long - unused so perfect condition. Ideal for Fly Fishing for Pike but also single-handed Salmon/Sea Trout and apparently light saltwater work although cannot confirm this. I bought two of these and on the other one I've had Pike to over 20lbs and there's plenty of...

    Drennan Series 7 Avon/Quiver

Drennan Series 7 Avon/Quiver twin tip rod. It's the 1¼lb version however it comes with the 3oz and 4oz tips rather than the lighter ones. I wanted it for river fishing so this seemed sensible. The Avon top is standard. It comes with a bag (marked 1½lb t/c) and a protective tube. Bought...

    Kennet & Avon around Bath

Dundas aquaduct used to have nice Perch in it, as did the turning bay on the way to Limpley Stoke.

    Chimera 2 v torrix

I have both and would say that the Chimera has the softer top! That's comparing a Chimera 2 compared to 1.75lb Torrix. I would also say that the Chimera has a softer action and I prefer it for the sort of fishing I do, but the Torrix is more versatile and can cope with heavy feeders etc...

    11ft Seer Barbel Specialist - 1.5lb t.c.

In all seriousness, I can confirm I have no idea who Mike is but thanks anyway! It is a lovely rod and perfect for rolling meat or small river fishing. I have had Barbel up to 12lb on it and it's got a lovely playing action. However I also lost the biggest Barbel I have ever seen while using it...

    11ft Seer Barbel Specialist - 1.5lb t.c.

I bought it off someone on BFW about 3 years ago and it's been a great rod to use, particularly for rolling meat. It's in decent condition and I can email photos to anyone interested. I would be looking for £80 plus postage.

    Walthamstow

For anyone interested, Walthamstow is definitely worth a go for the Bream, or indeed for the Carp if you are that way inclined. Personally I don't have enough tattoo's to be a Carp Angler…. I only visited a handful of times in the end, but had 8-9 Bream including three doubles and a new PB...

    Walthamstow

I think I've got my Maynards and Mallards mixed up. We've already established that I've gone a bit funny by targeting Bream.

    Walthamstow

I have got some time on my hands in the coming months and I was planning on having a go on Walthamstow and see if I can catch a big bream amongst other things. Has anybody got any advice? I was probably going to fish No. 1 or Mallard.
