Walt Disney & CO springs to mind the way things have been handled by the committee. The club reminds me of the titanic once great but sinking fast
All the best Jamie
Graham,it's a disgrace the way the committee old and new have let this situation happen without being open and honest they have their own agenda why,and if there is infighting in the committee the members who pay to keep the club going don't stand a chance.I've been a member of CAC for the best...
Dave, mockbeggar was a joke why did the club pay between 13,000 and 15,000 pounds for six months fishing and members couldn't even look at the water before getting one of the limited tickets for it.I did hear the other party involved for mockbeggar offered 7,000 for the lease so who were the fools.
Thanks for replys gents,I wear prescription glasses for driving, had some polaroids made up for me in spec savers but find them worse than my normal fishing Polaroids.all the best
Hi all,as any one used any of these glasses, are they as good as their write up suggests,I'm finding my eyesight is slowly getting worse and wonder if these would make spotting fish any clearer than the couple of pairs I have now.all the best jamie.
Dave when I say in limbo it is purely down to the fact that they have lost a couple of stretches of river and given up another couple, while in the meantime taken on another Stillwater,ie mockbeggar lake for which I'm sure they will have to pay for and reading between the lines 6 months fishing...
Matt ,at the moment you will have more than enough water to fish with the rivers in flood for most of the season , I have been a member of christchurch for the last 20yrs and although IMO the club is is in limbo ie still water fishing takes prescedent the somerley estate takes some beating even...
i cant believe what all the fuss is about.if the fish are having their having it no matter what make of pellet your using, shade or oil content ,imo its a confidence thing. i have used elips from bfw teme 7 and hinders my catch rate is no different.a question for you if you use paste wrapped...
its a bit hard attending a club meeting with a 240 mile round trip involved,i think their next meeting is a few days before the start of the season they did not think to have it a few days intothe season so anglers from outside the local area could fish and then go and have their say.over a...
Damien, when you can walk the whole stretch from top car park to the trout sream point i would call it more than a little bit of scrub clearence imo. a nice photo of the new hut going up but a little to the left would have shown a view of the pruning which the club has done for the estate.i...
greed damien thats all it is,as i said in previous post the somerley estate and fishery manager?could not give a toss about the fishery but left it to volunteers like yourself and j Mc amonst others to repair things that were outright dangerous, but wave a pound note under their noses they bite...
Damien its not an over re action ita a fact that a fishery that was once a joy to be sat even when i blanked has been totally ruined and will never be the same in my lifetime. i know things evolve but this is a disgrace and imo done without a thought for wildlife habitat and fish habitat.the...
looks like i will have to buy a pair of binnouclars and look out for the wading birds,my 150.00 membersip donate to rspb, mind you when you've a river keeper who point blanks refuses to use his licence to shoot cormoronts (as it will have little effect)bear in mind they feast on fish and lay...
when will it stop
ray i know they strim the banks for the elite every season but hopefully have not helped the nutters decimate the fishery,if they have it will be my last season being a member.imo the somerley estate was the jewel in the crown on cac waters but to let this go on without a care...
