Have the xta lc (mediums) which were the xtb predecessors. Lovely reels but quite big. Don't barbel fish with them but could do on bigger waters like the lower severn or trent. Also have the xtb spod reel which is great for the money.

Bit late now but if you have any left with both ends you could run a length of power gum between the ends with two beads knotted on as stops at either end. Wouldn't lose either end that way!

Saw my mate catch, kill (iki-jime) and gut a pink snapper in Australia. It then bit him, jaws clamped shut on his thumb. Revenge of the zombie snapper or just a muscle reflex action. Matey didn't half howl though.

Local shop in Birmingham still has the sonu baits elliptical pellets in both sizes although the date on them is June 20. Price is unchanged at 4.99 a kg.

I use the Jag red and green sharpeners. I've got the file too but if the hook needs that it's for the bin.
