Just a post to say that based on my experience so far, I would whole heartedly not recommend these.
About 10 days worth of fishing and the finish is disappearing to show the metal beneath. It looks like the line will just be running across a bit of stainless steel with a few more trips.
I'm...
If everyone knows someone is a custom rod builder then if it looks horrendous in some people’s eyes then surely it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s what the customer wanted and they’re happy with it? It’s no slight on the rod builder. At the same time it sounds a nice position to be in to turn...
I’ve got the same on my aviators and think they’re nicer than the Fuji black dps anyway. Older rods I’ve got with black Fuji dps were a mat finish, where as the newer glossier one looks a bit tacky I think.
Hi Craig, that first fish is going to feel pretty special.
If I was in your position and ended up buying a rod I'd probably go with Daiwa or Fox at that price. Perhaps things have changed but I have never picked up a Korum rod and thought I would enjoy using it. Where as I've always been quite...
I'm using the ss2600, no baitrunner but I am happy to forgo it because I like the clutch and feel of it so much. Despite having them for years I've moved away from baitrunners recently, a lot of the time I was just using them out of habit.
I ordered one of the larger nzons (distance 25?) and...

The carp book 'Waiting For Waddle' seems to be one of the ones that does genuinely sell for big money on a fairly regular basis, I've seen it go for over £300. I spoke to someone who had a copy from new and made a good bit of money on it, he said, 'It's not even that good' 😂
I don't know if they ever sell but there's some fully signed ones around for sale at £250.
There's another unsigned copy up for £150 plus postage on eBay at the moment.
Personally I just want to read books so I'd never pay extra for a signed copy of anything. I'd also generally take a book in...
372 pages.
It's a lovely book to be fair, lots of nice pictures, good stories and good stuff on techniques as well. I'm selling it on at what I paid for it, appreciate it is an outrageous amount of money. It's got some comprehensive stuff on Tring and the Thames which I wanted to read.
