Another thought on the quiver section. You could fish for chub all the time without one, 2oz lead, bolt rig and hair rigged bait, which can be ruthlessly effective. Although, if you want to use a maggot feeder or light ledgering with bread or something then you will miss a lot of bites if not...

Hi Mark I haven't used the rod but one way to look at the comparison with another rod that has an additional section is that, for the price you could assume that the DV has had more money put in to the blank. Just a thought, as whether that's true or not I don't know.

I've never had any problems with it and use it in 3,4 and 6lbs. The talk of the drennan camo xt and the gardener hydroFLO has got me wondering though, aside from the spools what are those two lines offering that the sensor doesn't?

I haven't any experience of the above but I'd be tempted to search out a second hand pair of the older Daiwa Powermesh. Like you I wouldn't fancy the seaguides and I've just always liked those older Powermeshs.
