I just found this on the Guardian web page but can't find an original .gov statement - maybe it's one of the things that have been leaked/dribbled out to the media? Hope it's right as I did buy a fly rod over the winter!
Unlimited exercise, some sports and meeting one other person outdoors to be...
I have used the S7 boile paste with success for Yorks barbel if the chub didn't snaffle it first - straight on the hook -moulds well. Lasts for ages in the freezer.
I've got one & I'm very fond of it. The catalogue description gives it as 1lb 2oz/ 1lb 4oz & Archie Braddock reckoned it was the best barbel rod he had ever handled! I think they'll get snapped up on the oldskool site, good luck with it.
I guess it's a world away from the 2.75lb carbon rods of...
I've had one of the Prestige chairs for a few years 7 find it comfy & not too heavy. The locking wheels are a bit of a problem - they can just spin off if you don't tighten them up hard when walking around. I lost one & had to buy a replacement. I've made it sort of captive by drilling a small...
Bit of a shock when I walked up the Ure today, an entire section of bank has disappeared. Last time I was there I fished from that huge concrete block at the edge of the field. Several mature trees have been swept in as well....
I'm fortunate to be able to get back to some fishing & having checked over my stuff find I'm low on these. Can anyone recommend a brand/supplier please? I've got a few of what I think are Dinsmores with a black finish & a bit of copper showing through which seem well made. Not after anything...
Thanks very much for all the tips - I do remember the Richworth one but can't find any. I'd forgotten John Baker stuff - he must have been going for as long as any of the bait makers. I'll probably give some that a try. The idea is to have plenty of smell without too much fat so it's not rock...
Can anyone advise on a decent quality flavour please? I'm totally out of date with manufacturers & see some stuff for sale on Ebay but have no idea if it's useful or not. I did use Hutchinson stuff years ago but can't see it with the cheese flavour at the monemt.
It's more for winter chub paste...
I used to live in Offenham in the late 60's & reckon there was some stocking done at the Fish & Anchor back then. Very unsure about the first captures. Moved away in the '70's & havene't fished there since, which is a shame. I've had a Google with no luck but it must be somewhere in the old...
Thanks a lot for the replies. Will hopefully be going up there in a few weeks. I expect there is a good chance he may have a copy so will try & pop to the lakes. It is a lovely film & I'm sure I had it but must have done the dreaded tape over thing. I remember the earthmovers driving across the...
