    Grayling

On the stretch of river I grayling fish, feeder fishing is not allowed. In fact I'm lucky that they let me trot there even. One thing that I have often found here is that the grayling are not out in the main flow but are positioning themselves closer in in somewhat slacker water. Here, I'm sure...

    Other species fishing books

I am so bloody angry at the mess Crowood made of reprinting the cover of that that perch book. It makes a mockery of my artwork. Please don't buy a copy but if you must, then please burn the dust jackets.

    Laser Pens

Yes Dave, and if you take the batteries out of your buzzers and go up the pub then pass out drunk in the car park, you won't know that one of those bloody tufties has taken the bait at all, until you reel it in dead in the morning, or someone else does it for you. Now that really is 'stealth'. :D

    Hi to all

Welcome Garry, what a time to move to Norfolk and take up barbel fishing, eh... at a time when the otters have spoiled the best of the Wensum's barbel fishing. I don't think the situation is much better on the Gt Ouse mind. There are still a few barbel to be had on the Wensum with the odd low to...

    Laser Pens

In the interest of protecting wildlife, I think I'd be more inclined to entertain cats using the lazer site of a gun! Wink and smile face.

    the future of barbel angling?

The simple fact is that if barbel 'thrived' in stillwaters then stillwaters would already hold them without stocking and they would be classed as being a stillwater species. The fact is, however, that they don't, they aint and they never have!

    My new website.

Hi Jason, there is an arowana in the painting of the Amazon redtail. I'll be starting work on painting a mahseer soon and doing a tarpon painting too. The problem for me is that it is pointless spending up to a month or so painting an arowana if no one is going to be interested in buying the...

    My new website.

Thanks for the positive replies, guys. Most people who have gone into the site have experienced no problems, however, I have had one comment that there were a number of issues with the homepage not functioning.... has anyone else experienced that? Cheers, Chris.

    My new website.

Hi folks, After many months, if not years, of threatening to build my own website and a full three weeks of learning how to do it, I finally have it up and running. Basically the site is a gallery to my angling artwork. If such a thing is of interest to any of you, I'd be very pleased if you...

Stuart. I'd suggest using something long, light, soft and forgiving, if you want lots of control and not too many hook pulls!
