Dundas aquaduct used to have nice Perch in it, as did the turning bay on the way to Limpley Stoke.

I have both and would say that the Chimera has the softer top! That's comparing a Chimera 2 compared to 1.75lb Torrix. I would also say that the Chimera has a softer action and I prefer it for the sort of fishing I do, but the Torrix is more versatile and can cope with heavy feeders etc...

In all seriousness, I can confirm I have no idea who Mike is but thanks anyway! It is a lovely rod and perfect for rolling meat or small river fishing. I have had Barbel up to 12lb on it and it's got a lovely playing action. However I also lost the biggest Barbel I have ever seen while using it...

I think I've got my Maynards and Mallards mixed up. We've already established that I've gone a bit funny by targeting Bream.

I have got some time on my hands in the coming months and I was planning on having a go on Walthamstow and see if I can catch a big bream amongst other things. Has anybody got any advice? I was probably going to fish No. 1 or Mallard.
