    Reel Capacity

Afternoon all, I am in the market for a new reel and have been looking at the Shimano Stradic 2500 GTM RC. My only concern is that it holds 140 yards of 8lb line. I would fill it with 10lbs - so is this reel going to have a big enough capacity for say the Wye/Trent? Merry Christmas to you...

Looks awful today with huge white/blue lumps of foam and a black slick. I hope they are getting it sorted because this could be disatrous if it spreads any futher

Starting to look serious! They have a giant red inflatable oil retainer spread across the width of the river now.

    Bristol Avon - Slick/Spill?

Hi All Does anybody who lives in (or near) Chippenham have any idea what that dreadful slick is in the river? It's like a thick brown gloopy syrup! There are alot of people with beards down there holding clipboards apparantly! Doesn't look good! :(

Very good catches of cod being caught by the boats out of Portishead and Cardiff/Penarth. We had fish to 7lb from the severn bridges 2 weeks ago Barry.

Am i missing something here? This is being done for charity for crying out loud - why would he cast you in such a bad light? Does Mr Roberts understand the work involved in organising such an event? This is very disapointing behaviour from somebody of Mr Roberts "stature". Anyway, roll on...

Guys - what sort of rods/reels will be required? I'm a little worried a Greys 1.5t/c rod with 10lb line wont be beefy enough
