otter predators
Natural England suggest we should help the otters out by creating areas of river bank where they can build there holts safe from predators.
Not sure about predators but It does make you wonder how many otters we would have If there numbers were not being reduced by road traffic...
Thanks Dave I suspected as much would have to be a korum then a two piece 13ft would be a real pain to transport.
Anyone had any experience of these particular korum rods I know some of there earlier models were popular.
I probably have more rods than I really need but was considering buying a 13ft barbel rod three piece, reason being I would like a rod that Is short enough when broken down to fit easily In my car when I am on holiday.
Also I would like the option of using the rod for float fishing In relatively...
Derwent restoration project
Only one I have ever seen was between Stamford and Scoreby many years ago.
Gavin according to natural Englands river Derwent restoration project they do have designs on removing or modifying those they cannot remove.
Not sure about time scales thankfully I dont...
I am considering using a smallish block end swimfeeder containing a small number of the large elips pellets and some paste to create flavour trail of attraction In the swim.
I am fishing stretches with low stock levels of barbel and In the faster flowing swims I am concerned that any bait...
fannypack
I am suitably confused about this post can anyone enlighten me ? how do I wear it? and what purpose does It serve/? once
installed:p
No risky replies please I have lead a very sheltered life.
The early efforts were not that brilliant you will see a fair few sponsored anglers using them but I would bet they would prefer daiwa or shimano cannot go wrong with these In my opinion.
They may have upped there game at preston and korum It Is the same company some of there stuff is brilliant...
paste
Thanks Simon will give It a try hope those Derwent barbel will appreciate It,I havent added to my tally after two more trips in the swim I caught "the one" In the other week could be a long hard slog.
Thinking I will use ground elips pellets for my 500gm of anything I fancy.
ground hemp in paste.
Good tip that Tim I am having trouble getting mine to stick round my pellet hook bait, surely someone has the perfect recipe;)
Although It all depends what you are trying to achieve:D
As long as there made with the same ingredients I cannot see that it makes any difference,I do file a flat edge on my hookers and glue em side to side rather than end to end which Is less hassle, but they just look better side to side.
oil pellets rancid?
I bought a stock of elips pellets and elips oil from Hinders ,I have kept the oil In the fridge opened the bottle of oil today and It smells like linseed oil to me does this indicate that It has gone rancid?
Aldi bag
Hmmmm a quid eh I would have bought 11 If I could find em for a quid In fact I would probably have bought a warehouse full:D:p:cool::mad:;):)
Was thinking about getting another as a spare for my float fishing roving gear save having to swap the gear round when I go trotting...
German cushion
Its called kubit cushion I think or somthing like that its made up of square kubes of foam held In place by a nylon sort of skeleton affair.
You remove kubes from the area where you are suffering discomfort thus reducing pressure accordingly.
Simple but very affective:D
Aldi bag
Only really big enough for the roving approach Dave If your a kitchen sink man like me, christened mine today though, If It lasts a few sessions Its a bargain but for the money your not likely to get out thrown In with It much less a car:D
PS its more of a smart car than Rolls...
