If I was replacing my Canon S5 I'd be looking at a used Canon A650. Still has the programmable multi-shot timer and the flip out screen, but more compact and a lot lighter than the S5.
Have you contacted the seller to express your dissatisfaction and ask for a refund of the postage? If so what did he say?
I think you should always give the seller the chance to rectify the complaint before "shaming" him.
If he has given a reason for his actions, perhaps post here before...
It's a popular swim, Mick, it's quite common to have anglers fish it from both sides there. I'm not saying it's right, but it's common. Have you stopped smiling yet?
That was exactly what I was hoping to achieve. I like the idea of grabbing a few bits of tackle and buying a loaf on the way, with no trips to the tackle shop with bait boxes, or lugging around extra tins of corn. Next time I'll try sending down some free samples first, but also take some...
Thanks for the replies, that's all very helpful and given me a few things to try different next time.
Not sure about the casters though, I was looking for a cheap way of fishing ;)
It's been said before that Fred Crouch just soaked his hemp overnight, no cooking. He reckoned that the Barbel don't care if it's split, you only need to split them if you are using them on the hook. I believe he caught a few barbel.
Yesterday I had a change from my usual fishing, and had a first go at trotting for chub on the Teme. I haven't had my pin for very long and this is the first time I've done any trotting ... and I blanked big time :(
This stretch seems to have plenty of chub, and as this is my first go, I...
Chris just wondering ... you are staying in Ross which is right next to some of the most prolific barbel fishing in the country, but instead you want to drive 35 miles to fish the Teme, a river where (a few sections apart) the barbel fishing is mostly fairly hard. Did I understand you right?
I've had a word...:)
A quote from the Met Office forecast for next week: "Monday will probably be mostly dry ... for the rest of the week, it will generally become more unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain. The rain may be heavy and thundery in places, especially in the south..."
Can we expect to see a "What Strap On" thread in the near future? Although I'm sure Sam will tell us how to walk into your local adult shop and pick one :D
I don't know what mine is, just a cheapie, but it also folds into 1/3s and slots into my seat back, nice and comfortable when I'm...
Brilliant, mate, well done. A great event, fantastic social, brilliant raffle, well-organised and a hefty cheque to the breast cancer people ... you deserve to feel happy with yourself for a long time yet. Credit to Steve and Marie as well for all the work they put in.
If it's less than 3 years old, Korum will normally replace any broken section for £20 including postage.
If you want to take your barbel for the pot, you'll need to buy a priest as hitting them over the head with your rod will lead to problems :D
lol! I had the same thing ... but it was a robin rather than a cat  I don't know what it thought it was, perhaps some kind of large insect. It didn't work out how to anticipate my target though, obviously not as bright as a cat.
It won't happen to you though, Robert, as the cat will...
