    Yes mate they all do ,my opion best author on barbel books as he covers everything,barbel obsession is like a best off of his other books and in my opinion not as good as the rest but is fairly rare so would go for the others first.you can pick up his first book on ebay usually for about 30/40...

    I use kryston super mantis 15lb for barbel around 2ft in length especially at night,if I'm doing a day session which is rare I use suffix mono in 10lb ..

    Hi I use the 8lb merlin for chub with no problems ,but then again my chub hooklinks are only 12 inches long which probably helps to stop tangling..

    Yes it's so frustrating when you get there it's not what you expect,I use a kayaking site so don't think it's the best but still going of Samlesbury which is the nearest to the stretch I fish on there..

    I went tickled trout stretch on Tuesday fishing for chub ,the app I use for revels said it had gone down from 4 meters to 3 but got there and raging through it most of come up a couple of feet while I was there, and all I caught were loads of snags ..

    You will learn more from any steve stayner book than any other,I find it quite unbelievable that the man doesn't get mentioned as much as he should, not just for his books but he was a bait master,don't believe me buy 1 of his books and you will be hooked...

    I've just bought the new korum 2 rod holdall, put it the loft for a month or 2, pulled it out off the box, put my 2 rods with reels in but to my shock no pockets for bank sticks ..I presume everyone must use pods not!!!!

    Sounds like a load of hassle if you have to do that on the bank,I use Thinking Anglers camo coated braid ( not all the time it depends how rocky) but its really limp and I use it in different lengths from 8inch for chub to 2ft barbel..

    River ribble its Mental!!

    Fished the place last Yr ( full season)on a fairly popular stretch I didnt have a single barbel my mate had 5 all season,was seeing otters regularly ees etc so put it down to that, although to the back end of the season ( jan-march) the otters disappeared, had my first session last Friday...
