has anyone used this company "onefisherman"

It's not one ive used or am familiar with but Ascot Dr in Derby is full of little units, so seems plausible. Using a credit card to get some protection seems wise if you go ahead with your purchase.

    New reel recommendations

I have 6000OC's on my pike rods and Okuma Pulzar 6000's on my Chimera 3's for big river barbelling. I rate both highly.

But will it really happen ? Improvements to sewage overflows.

They seem to have transitioned from "its impossibility expensive to fix our victorian sewage system" to "sorry we'll fix it, you'll have to pay for it though. Don't worry it won't cost much" Do they think we are daft?

    Perished foam

I picked up a couple of second hand rods yesterday. Both have perished foam at the bottom. Is there a way of easily replacing this, or is it a complete handle strip down job?

    Flask

I have the thermos king flasks and they are great. I would definitely recommend. However, I've just moved over to a lightweight stove set up which has proved ideal over the colder months. You get a little extra bonus warmth and something else to think about whilst blanking. I have an alpkit...

    Upper Trent.

There's plenty of gravel where I fish, but there is a lot of sediment too which is perhaps chocking the gravel

    Upper Trent.

Blank for me too on the upper this year and I've fished it a lot. It's such a big river I can't see it being an otter issue. Maybe the numbers have got so low its affecting reproduction effectiveness. All the other causes I can think of would affect the whole river not just the upper. Things...

Drat, Nash Nomad Chair finally failed

It was the connection between the leg and the mud foot that failed. Probably user error. I miss aligned the legs and had a comedy collapse at the start of the session and then misplaced my footing crossing a stream and fell on my chair a bit later on. I retraced my steps later on to try to...

Drat, Nash Nomad Chair finally failed

Drat, my Nash Nomad Chair has finally failed. I"m gutted, it was a great chair, recommended on the old BFW many many years ago (20-25!) and served me extremely well. With a bit of thought and hard work I might be able to resurrect it but to be honest it would only be a matter of time until the...
