Hi All
I was very careless today and ended up smashing my trotting float rod beyond repair !
It was a Drennan Distance Float 13’6†that I’ve have had for a number of years !
I’m now looking for a replacement that I can use for Dace, Roach & Grayling on the stick float and would welcome...

For me its a great fun fishery and somewhere I look forward to fishing in the winter and it never seems to disappoint
David

Mark, Never used BA ! This year used Emirates and Thomson, previous years have mainly been the likes of Thomas Cook ,Virgin etc what I normally do is tell them at the check in I've never been charged before if they try to charge me, but as long as I'm not over weight they stick a label on it...
I always take a rod in a tube on holiday and have NEVER been charged any excess either way, destinations include Mauritius, India, Cuba, and most of the Caribbean on various airlines including traveling economy, you just have to take it to "Oversize Luggage"
Dave
I hear what your saying about the crutch strap and when it comes to replacing mine I may well go down that route, but having said that when I put my current crewsaver jacket on and tighten it all up and lock the safety clip it is comfortable to wear all day and does not interfere with whatever...
Hi Steve,
I checked mine last night and its a year out of date (Change by 2012) but all looks brand new !
After watching the video the process looks very simple and as you say leave it inflated for 24 hours then replace all parts in the service rearming kit then repack - Job done
Only thing...
Been doing a bit of digging around and found a company in Swansea called Marine Warehouse they offer a 48 hour turnaround with a fixed price service of £7.99 plus whatever parts are required and certificated you do have to add postage on or you can purchase the kit to service yourself and there...
I have a Crewsaver 150N and it's about time it was serviced, but looking on their website they say "Allow 28 days for the work to be carried out" This is not acceptable to me !
Can anybody recommend another service agent that offers a better service ?
Or can this work be carried out by...
Yeah that looks perfect and very similar to the Crew Saver, I'm sure they must be made to the same standards and its in green !!!
Go for it Stephen !
Dave
I also wear a CrewSaver mine is a 150N Auto Standard life jacket fully adjustable so I wear it over the top of what ever I'm wearing and you hardly know its there.
Fishing the Wye and other large rivers on your own especially when the river is in flood it is a essential piece of fishing tackle...
A bit premature Marcus I would say !
Over the next 4 days for instance a total of 28mm of rain is forecast in Wales according to Metcheck
So I would say by Saturday there might be a significant rise and a some colour in the river Wye at Ross
And that will certainly switch the fish on ...
Robert,
I have also had a look at their website but what I am looking for is " The original C5 in size 10 " and I cant see them on their website ! The CT5 's that you mention would be fine but they don't seem to be available in size 10
But next time your passing I would be grateful if you...
