Stef Horak - Bait and wait.

I use his maggot feeder approach on my local river for chub in the winter when the water is very low and clear. Inline feeder with a 2 inch hook length and a size 18 with single or double maggot. I feed the swim for anything up to two hours without a hook length attached and look for bumps or...

    Trigga Ice

I suspect that the main reason it was so good for chub was the inclusion of Trigarol (basically chicken liver in powdered and liquid form) and if there is one thing chub like most of all it's chicken. For example DT Baits Pukka Fish & Oily Chicken contains poultry meal and a lovely chicken...

    Trigga Ice

It was changed before the new owners took over. You can't get half of the ingredients that were in it. What they are selling now is not the original Trigga.

    Trigga Ice

Trigga is not the same as it used to be. Ingredients have been swapped out for others. It would cost a fortune to make the original these days (according to Dave Moore).

Who Built The TW & TM Pulse Rods?

Can't find a Century Pulse TW 11ft Barbel rod in my records. Either it was custom made (possible but unlikely) or one of the following - T.M. 11' 3" Downstream Plus 2oz & 3oz Overfit Quivers T.W. 10' 6" Chub Plus 1oz Overfit Quiver

    Tench rods.

I would absolutely recommend looking at carp rods of the past circa 1990's. Shimano amongst others did some great rods in lower test curves (Twin Powers, Power Loops, Aeros, etc). You will find they do the job just as well and you might save a bob or two.

Who Built The TW & TM Pulse Rods?

A couple of years ago I was in contact with the person who built all the Century Pulse barbel and chub rods for Trefor West and Tony Miles via this forum, but for the life of me I can't remember his name. Can anyone help?

    Interesting bait vid

Tony Miles used that combination on the Ouze to great effect.

    Interesting bait vid

Fish meals already contain levels of 5-IMP ribonucleotides and I was once told that if you combined yeast which also contained ribonucleotides (brocacel) that it overloaded the fishes senses. However I did a little experimenting and as a groundbait for chub I used pellets as a base which I then...
