Think youve answered your own question partially. The first place I would focus on would be where you saw the fish. I used to do a bit of carping on the B'ham/Worcs canal early 80s and the carp were always in the same spots.

On the issue of security Im sure that most of you, like me, have a number of locks on your garages or sheds but please remember to fit window locks where appropriate. Probably the quickest, easiest and quietest way of getting access to your gear.

Hi Chris, Thank you for the recommendation. Clearly a light chair but the back still looks like it's tilted backwards; is that correct? I can't see any adjustment on the back rest.

Gents, looking for a recommendation please. I suffer from a dodgy back and find the angle of chair backs awful being inclined backwards. I'm looking for a lightweight chair with as straight a back as possible or one that can be adjusted up so that it's approximately 90 degrees to the seat...

Goes without saying George, if you do get snagged up be very careful when trying to pull clear. There could be an awful lot of hook points heading in your direction!
