I have a pair of Greys X Flite Barbel rods. 12ft with 1.5tc top 1.75tc top and quiver tip carrier top top with three tips each
Both rods in good used condition. No cloth bags unfortunately.
These rods have far more use than just Barbel fishing.
I'm not sure how to put pictures up on here but if...

Try this chap. He builds ( or use to build) most of the free spirit rods. I had some custom builds by him and he had a massive pile of the bags in a corner of his work place. It was a few years ago but worth a try.
If I were you I would just get back to the basic knotless knot.. Use a decent hook IE Drennan / Esp Cryogen / Korda and plenty of others. I use ESP Cryogen with an out turned eye buy many use inturned eyes. If you tie the knot correctly it shouldn't slip down the shank. Some do use a little dab...
I agree with the hook and bait size being wrong and need to match more closer. A 10mm piece of meat would be more to my liking on a size 10 hook and a 6 or 4 on an 18mm piece but in the present conditions I would be on the size 10 hook with 10mm meat i day light and may upscale it for dark . I...
All of my rods have there own reel attached . There all 2 piece rods except my 15ft acolyte but even that stays made up with a Abu 506mk2 on but will admit with being 3 piece it's not so simple to put up as a 2 piece rod.
The hook bait company are hit & miss anyway. I've ordered from then on more than one occasion but takes ages to get your stuff even after several emails It has always arrived but took about 6 weeks.
I think I'm a member of the club that Simon is talking about and I must admit I thought it was a big jump but the club do state the the rents had increased a lot so IF that is true they do need to pass the increase on imo.
I've just turned 65 so was thinking I would get a cheaper ticket but...
If anyone wants a nice light chair I found this. I've bought one and used it today. It's very light and fairly comfortable for it's size .I'm not sure how long it will last but we'll see...
I Like mine although the salopetts seem to come in smaller than the size stated.. If you can get to a shop and try them on. My coat is fine but like I say the salopetts seem small.
Nice and warm though.
