At the same time you probably won’t go far wrong with a factory build, where as you could definately buy a second hand custom made and find it’s not well suited.

I got it after peoples recommendations on here. Personally I find it fine with a pair of ss2600s and specialist rods. Great bit of kit and good value to go with it. If I was a bit more flush at the moment I would probably also have 3 and just be using them for everything.

I almost did myself out of a 12lber the first time I used my cheap digitals earlier in the season, just imagine 😂

I had a fox pike rod years ago that had a fake cork handle made of rubbery plastic 😂 the rod was alright though to be fair.

I’ve got no problem with anyone else doing it, but the idea of fishing with the plastic still on the handle makes me feel a bit like chalk on a blackboard.
