Bit of a long shot here-after a 1.75lb/2.lb top for a 12ft Drennan Power Barbel Specialist(twin tip rod). Found the rod whilst las tfishing, although the top section was broken (hence it was chucked away), if anyone has a spare top-would be a great result! More in hope than expectation dave

Would have to say, I have never seen any damage caused by using barbless hooks in any fishes mouth that I have caught-once the fish is hooked, the bend is where all the pressure is-this pressure is constant-the same for barbed/barbless, again I simply do not see damage to a fishes mouth. Again...

If you use barbless hooks you eliminate the risk of tethering completely, periodically I remove hooks from fish caught trailing line and tackle, one fish had 3 hooks in its mouth-all barbed. Cheers DT

Fish Stranded To be fair-my Old Man and Old Dear, plus their neighbours have done a lot more! They were out at 6.00am this mrning rescuing fish-the OM is 74 and recovering from radiotherapy, and the OD is 68, and the neighbours drew attention to the fish. All well that end well! DT
