Don't see the problem with 3 rods on certain rivers. I have used 4 before on a remote stretch and a friend joined me so I was confident.

Richard clean up the Cork handles with a dish scouring pad and some fairy liquid. It will clean them up like new.

Having spent the last couple of seasons fishing the very lower Severn, I wondered how near the sea has anyone caught barbel and other sea going species. Personally I have had barbel and flatfish in the same sessions Ito would be interesting to hear from other areas.

Good going that Shaun I've had twenty plus barbel days before but only on the wye and trento.

Not got a problem with Rich, but he personally hasn't fished for barbel on a river where it's tough. I see people using his baits having a modicum of success but I think winter fishing is the key to a good bait. Not sure how long you have followed Richard John but it seems the usual glossop...

The day I take advice off him , a man who fishes IMHO the easiest barbel river in the UK is the time I sell mykit and take up golf!:o

Never heard so much rubbish on one thread!!! Assuming angler's use pellets mainly in warmer conditions then summer weights would be higher!!

Sounds like an angling God. Best one I had was a lad when asked if he was doing OK told me he had a 23lb barbel from the teme. I said that's a record mate. I've had bigger he replied.:rolleyes:
