You can encode malicious code inside a barcode. Old linear codes cannot contain that data but the newer ones can. Each to their own but you wouldn't catch me scanning anything.

Out of interest, Why would you scan a barcode in a shop? I look after cyber security and I would advise to never scan anything with a monetary value attached to it. Also be super careful with QR codes, personally I also wouldn't scan one.

Ss1600 all day long, 2600 a little too heavy for anything under 11ft for me the balance is just off. I also have the Korum 8ft and the 1600 is lovely on it.

my absolute goto and a mainline I never see mentioned on the forum, which I find strange, is pallatrax gamma. I've used them all, for me personally gamma is a phenomenal mainline, supple, line lay, abrasion, diameter, visibility - ticks all boxes. I've never snapped off above the hooklink. Never.

Oh and Alan, even though you are using in the autumn/winter it is a mistake not to get breathable if you can afford the extra. You will use more layers and then you will still sweat 😃 Then when you sweat and the vapour has no where to go, it will cool in your layers and make you cold!

I agree. I would say if you are bivvied at a lake for carp and you sometimes have to rush them on (night bite) then go for the boot waders. If you are roving the river, in and out and climbing, walking etc go for sock waders with boots. John Norris always has decent deals on, I've been using...
