I must admit I use a poncho but do yearn for the wind break effect of an umbrella. Let's face it wind chill can be a bigger spoiler than rain and most of the places I fish on the Tees and Swale just do not lend themselves to the bigger day shelter type brollies.
My old brolly seems to be finally...
Think Adam needs a litle slack cutting as he has been getting stick on a few forums. The other side of the coin is some of the questions are more than reasonable, particularly regarding night fishing but it does not seem to widely avaialbe on the Wye anyway.
Best of luck with the syndicate...
I've not been myself but understand there are big savings to be made and even if you don't buy anything a visit to a Basspro Shop is supposed to be a sight to make a grown man cry with joy. Not sure of the situation when you come back through Customs as they are bound to want a slice of cake.
I was wondering if any of you good folks have a Drennan Super Specialist Duo 1.25lb tc rod surplus to requirements? If so could you please PM with a price as I've been looking for one for a while but appreciate they are a sort after rod.
Cheers,
Stu
Just spoken to a lady who lives at the flats at the weir who has only just become aware of this development along with a lot of people in the village. They are organising a meeting amongst themselves to discuss an opposition plan and will also be holding a meeting to which other interested...
Dan,
the section above No1 is Topcliffe Angling, of which I am a member. I'm not sure if the riparian is an AT member, I'll call him tonight and check.
There are normally plenty of otter prints on the bank in the area and I had one session ruined by an otter pup that obviously got separated from it's mother in the dark and did 400 metres of river like a speed boat. The guy running my section regularly observes lamprey from the bridge at...
The riparian at Asenby has not been officially informed of this scheme but did read something about it in the local paper. He's going to find out more about it nad hopefully lodge an objection.
Looking at the Leeds forum it appears the clubs trustee's have been working in conjunction with UK Hydro Power who are going to provide the club with new car parking and an annual income as well.
I'm not sure if that serves the greater purpose or just their's but they have been consulted and...
My enemies enemy is my friend even though they are also my enemy. Finally found a use for the furry darlings, having said that wonder what they look like after going through an Archimdiean screw? :p
Environment Agency - UK Hydro Ltd
Just been made aware of an application by UK Hydro Ltd for the weir at Topcliffe on the Swale. This weir sits upstream of some of the spawning grounds for barbel on the Swale which can be kissed goodbye if this gets the go ahead.
Barbel Society Clive. I'm not wishing to have a pop Phil but what has the attendance been like since the BS lost Asenby? I have been to a few of these evenings and they have always been a good night with a cracking raffle.
Is the BS looking for waters on the Swale as the current list of...
