As a complete newbie to trotting for Chub, would any of the BMAA members be willing to recommend any suitable swims on the Upper Trent or Dove? I have chest waders but a few of the bits I’ve tried are way too deep for that and bank access is limited. Thank you

The 15ft looks a very powerful rod indeed, I suspect it's too much rod for all round specimen float fishing, more designed for specimen barbel and carp on the float. I can't imagine a 4lb Chub giving much sport on it but I may be wrong and won't know until I try it out! Conversely, the 12ft...
