My point exactly Adrian ! My old Shakespere match style handle is still going strong, even with the joints built up with Araldite ! But it's 20 years old or more and believe me a LOT of modern handles aren't that good !!! The Powerstretch is a great handle (admittedly with the well known mods)...

Jon, sounds perfect, very sought after rods these days ! I use a Fox Specialist Avon Quiver, 0.75tc and more than enough power for chubbing ! Have had barbel to 8lbs on it. Can honestly say that I've only used the Avon top a couple of times though !
