Incredible perspective there Neil Like the way you slotted in the most heinous crime I have heard of in many a year and inferred it was down to EE’s. As you well know Europeans were not and the culprits would probably have faced a far more parlous legal retribution if facing retribution by...
Neil, I am surprised but that seemed to go way over your head. My point is that education; something I thought you cared about; is the only way. Preaching to the converted is going to achieve what it always achieves, precisely nothing. With the stance you and many others take on this matter is...
Neil. Last time I looked Poland was in the political block known as Eastern Europe. The Polish anglers association deserve applause for what they are aiming to achieve. How do you think my mate Mikael looks at this board with the prevalent attitudes you epitomise. Mikael has fished with me...
My back garden is about 100 ft. long halfway down I have a small pond 6ft x 4ft. I can hit it about nine out of ten with a pin and an old carbon one and a quarter pound Harrison. Funnily enough about as regularly as I hit it with one of my Torrix one and three quarters and a shimi baby bait...
I am familiar with the bit of water Patrick is talking about, I believe the far bank rights are owned by a police angling club. If anyone intends to fish the easy side can I come and watch, a good laugh is getting hard to find these days.
Korum 50 inch. I am off to see my nice tackle dealer soon to buy a replacement for the one now staring as a snag in the Severn. (expletive deleted) wind!!!
Mike the United Kingdom Surfcasting Association all comers record is about 310 Meters and a bit. I cannot be bothered to log on to find out as their site is poo. The word record aint much more. The Humber at Faxfleet, its source from memory is about half a mile wide. Best you get down to the...
Yes Dave but Peter Bucknell was casting well over 200 yards with a rod that had a bit of well thought out design. Moncrief's "springheel" rod may have had a bit of thought put in it but it was ill conceived poor engineering theory that is rightly consigned to the scrap heap these days.
How well can you cast? What style of cast? What line? What shock leader? What reel? I once saw a bloke called John Holden cast over 100yards measured, using a multiplier and a beach tripod as a rod. What a question.
Absolutely right Nick, Shaun talking about protecting an invasive species for that river; the Barbel; into the Sussex Ouse at the expense of a natural occurring species the sea trout shows what an insular self-seeking group Barbel specialists are. I wonder if the Game pressure groups on the...

I saw the seal at Upton, the guy I fish with who was in the next peg heard what was either the same seal or an otter through the night. I emailed Mark already.
You were there mate, A pleasure to see you.Wind was a bugger.
Anyone seen a Korum 50inch brolly with a clevis pin and a bit of fluro shock leader attached.
