You could use an Essential Oil Dropper to get the the level right (work out how many drops per ml - off hand I foget) and an oil based palatant (eg Nash Tackle - Product Catalogue ) to compliment it. Or as Andrew suggests a Cajouser.

Had all sorts of problems with the Drennan - they replaced it when it first cracked - I have since epoxy glued and gaffered taped it - should have took my own advice and got the Gardner!
