Kind words mate ha . And as for the chevrons , not my cup of tea either . Gone for a very minimalistic look where the blanks concerned , am wanting the Hi's logo only writing on them and nothing else . Thanks Richard .
I know what your saying Ben , they are pricey . It's not every day i get to order a set of new builds , and did wanna make them abit special . I also agree with you on the minima guides , never a problem , and again do look great .
Hi mate did ask the builder ( being Vic Gibson ) could i have a minima ring set fitted and he refused . He basically said he wouldn't ever use them , give his reasons as to why and that was that . I've used him befor and was massively impressed with the carp rods i had built , reason why i went...
Given it's gonna be a while befor i'm looking to use it , but have just geared myself up with a spod rod and reel and after a couple of spoppers to finish the setup off . Having read some good reviews on how they perform , and seem to work , thought i'd give it ago . Only seen them on one site...
Looking to comfirm an order first thing tomorrow morning for two 12 ft 2.75 tc Hi's . Am thinking of going all out on the spec and am wanting the titanium torzite ringing starting with a 35 mm ringing through to a 12mm tip . Kinda made my mind up , but was wondering does anyone else out there...
As said it does seem to be a favourite of most . A little concerned with the diameter , one of the few things that drew to fluorocarbon being it's low diameter . Having said that i am gonna give the Gardner a go , have read some good reviews elsewhere too . Thanks for taking the time to post .
Thankyou all for taking the time to post . Never really had a problem with fluorocarbon , once I got my head around it . But given it's so called qualities and the expense , and having read all your comments am thinking is it really worth it . Again thankyou all .
Throughout my barbel fishing I've always used fluorocarbon , being 12lb 0.33 mm korda kontour for smaller river stuff and fox's illusion at 16lb 0.35 for such as the Trent . Would be grateful for anyone's comments on their preferred line choice as I am looking to spool up four new reels and am...
Thankyou for your comment mate . Given the bit of extra cash I'm gonna look into a couple of custom builds using the Hi'S blank . It's something I always wanted but never had the money to do so , but again thankyou .
