    Prescription sunglesses

Prescription sunglasses There was a thread on here about a year ago extolling the virtues of Driverwear lenses for fishing. I got a pair of prescription ones from Specsavers in time for last season. Coupled with titanium frames they were expensive at about £200 IIRC. They really are...

Well said. Shame you're calling it a day.

Matt Hayes reckons rivers are had it - your views

How did the deer cull slip through the public's consciousness unnoticed? I'm surprised there hasn't been more public outcry at the slaughter of large numbers of doe eyed ruminants. Could there be hope after all when the massed ranks of koi carp breeders join anglers in a joint outcry against...

Matt Hayes reckons rivers are had it - your views

Dave, i'm suffering with jet lag and may not usually have had time to read your detailed post. I'm glad i did, excellent stuff. I sense a shift in the balance of power within the angling community; such hasbbeen the devastation wreaked nationally in the last 12 months by those cuddly little...

End of an era or march towards unity?

Lee it was good to read your considered and thoughtful post. Short of a cull, and i accept that that is very unlikely to ever happen, really what can we do? I'm afraid we anglers are powerless.

    barbados lures

Rich - i have a number of mint lures that i bought for a holiday in Cuba a couple of years ago. They are mainly surface lures which is what you need, with some shallow divers. If you are interested, i would let you have them at a really good price.

Cheers Karl. Did i see you walking your jack russell in a shimano bodywarmer on sunday? I was with the Mrs and our black lab. Only thought it might have been you long after you'd gone. Good luck tomorrow mate.

    The Fair Fourteenth

I'll be up at mental o'clock for a last day on the rivers, staying well into dark after a sleep in the car at lunchtime ;) It's been a tough old winter and i think that's why i'm nowhere near ready for the last day to come, unlike previous seasons when i've been itching to tackle the tincas...

    The final week......

The winter's fishing has been encapsulated for me by the number of days i've booked off work to go fishing which i've subsequently cancelled because of the weather. And the last week is no exception. I'm damned if i'm sitting it out in this weather so of the three days i've booked off it...

Hydropower application for the Swale at Topcliffe.

Morning Gents. I received a reply from Will last night (below). As i am not a member of the WRA or Helperby & Brafferton, is there a member who would like to take up the baton from me? I'll contact Bingley today. Dear Graham, I have spoken to my colleague in Fish Legal and he has...
