Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

I think your expecting too much from it. As an unhooking mat, these are brilliant. As a seat they wont be better than third rate.

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

I have a Shaky noddy MK2 and I was surprised at how comfortable it is. It's obviously not the best seat in the world but better than crouching or sitting on the ground. I can crouch and I can sit on the ground. I'm just not very good at getting up again in a hurry.

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

It would be good if someone can independently confirm the weight of the new mat. I just checked the weight of the "fast mat" mat itself, without the sides, and it is 600 grams..

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

In that case perhaps that's best for you if weight is most important. Although once you catch a fish and soak it with water it will be heavier and you might not be so keen to sit on it.

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

I don't know what the newer version weighs, but I cant see that it can be much more than a few ounces lighter. And I can only imagine that it is lighter because it is thinner- I may be wrong but its hard to see where else they can save weight on an item like this. If you are planning to sit on...

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

Mine fits into the back of my fox duralite chair for carrying. A bit of bungee chord helps keep it in place. I usually stick a couple of bank sticks in as well, with a spoon net hanging off it.

Weight of Korum fast mat and supa lite fast mat

Hi, my Fast mat weighs in at 2lb 8ozs. Sitting on it? That's fairly subjective. Yes you can but it's obviously not a very big mat .

    A1 Pits

Recently I was rather scathing of the attitude of the bailiff at A1 pits, however, having recently visited I should point out that there is a new bailiff since I had last visited. The new guy was friendly and helpful and made me welcome. He made no suggestion that I should pay extra for my...

    Prolonged heat

Although, if I really felt the need to , I would use a car tyre pump. I gave my livey bucket a blast with one once, blew the lid off the bucket.

    Prolonged heat

To be fair, I was totally tongue in cheek. I think if you need something like that to revive a fish, then it's too hot to be catching them. I understand others may disagree, and I'm not even interested in arguing over it.

I'm thinking minn kota leccy outboard and leisure battery. Perfect for roaming on a backwater.

    Flavoured meat

I think your going against scientific opinion when you say fish can't smell. You only need to Google it to find lots of evidence otherwise.

    Vehicle access.

I don't know if you already know about it, but there is a water monitoring station just down stream of that stretch, giving information on water levels. I tend to look at it and then go fishing regardless. https://riverlevels.uk/river-trent-north-muskham#.YrgcX3bMLrd

    Trent

If you're night fishing, use a very bright lamp and illuminate as much of the river and far bank as possible. It's very popular on some sections of the Trent.
