Note of caution if going to tickled trout garage for your ticket make sure the guy on the till takes your details proper ie reg for car park as they’ve been known not to put your reg right and 2 week later you will have a fine nearer to 100 quid ,so keep your day ticket as proof for a few weeks...

I follow quite a few barbel pages on Facebook and a lot of questions asked are about bivvys cookers etc for the long stay angler,I’m not having a go at people who sit on the bank for days at a time but for me a 1 rod angler it all looks totally unreasonable to me -thoughts please👍
I use 1 rod on the ribble if I’m moving about or not,apparently I’m the butt of a few jokes as apparently I won’t catch with 1 you need 2 or more ,don’t use alarms I watch my tip,don’t have a bivvy and yes I fish a couple of hrs after dark and that’s it..keep everything simple watch the river...
