For the time being I just want to update it so that it's compatible with the latest secure version of PHP (7.4 is fine). No change in functionality (yet). Currently if I update the domain that the gallery on to 7.X the gallery breaks so it's obviously using old calls.
Thanks Bill and Richard. The idea of a donation has been suggested many times before over the years and I've always pushed back.
I guess if there's no obligation to make a donation and the feature is available to those that want to, there's no reason not to offer it.
I've therefore added a...
I am so sorry to read this Ian. The pain of seeing your wife like this must be unbearable.
I'm so glad that BFW is able to offer you some distraction through this difficult time.
All the best,
Andy F
Hi all,
I'm hoping that somewhere out there in the BFW audience, there might be someone with PHP experience...
I'm desperate for help with the BFW Gallery as it currently runs on an old version of PHP that I need to upgrade. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to do this.
Is there anyone...
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to the site, particularly for making it a well mannered, informative and pleasant place to post.
Huge thanks as always to the BFW Team who continue keep...
You're right Ash! I could smell him from the next swim!! It did seem to have instant impact though I'd imagine it wouldn't take long to 'blow' at the flavour/glug levels he was using...
Thanks Richard.
I have tried a rolling service before (not the one you mentioned).
We gave them hundreds of pounds worth of high quality milk protein base mix that we'd sourced and put together ourselves, and said rolling service over boiled ALL the boilies! We ended up with kilos and kilos...
Thanks Ash - my mate has used a Baitworks product with a bit of success, not the flavour you mentioned. His absolutely stank!!! Not a subtle bait though I think he was glugging it too. Is the Atlantic heat heavily flavoured?
Cheers, Andy
I'm pleased to say that this pair of i-powers has just sold :) And we've got an order for another matching pair with identical spec!
I have just listed a new standard build 11' 2lb TC Torrix in the Shop:

Hi all,
I know this question has been asked a thousand times before but I'm keen to get an up to date view on it if possible?
In recent times I've made my own boilies/chopups from John Baker base mixes and flavours that I've got total confidence in. Life is super busy at the moment and I could...
We used to sell LOADS of barbel books. The Trevor West one sold well and also all the Tony Miles books.
There seems to be a huge gap in the market as I’m not aware of a recent ‘how to’ book being released for many years.
Maybe there’s not quite the market or interest these days to make it...
Have you bought a Harrison blank recently? The blank alone comes in at over £100. Add in the cost of all the other (quality) components plus epoxy and other sundries and you're at around £250. Now take out the cost to take an online payment fee which will be around £10. That leaves £80 for the...
