Well ifinally tracked some down in hempstead valley, they havent got any now!!! I got the only two trays they had! Yes jeff one of them is yours, i cant gaurantee that you will catch on it though, i dont think its THAT GOOD!!:D;)
Hello everyone, My nephew is going to stoke for the weekend and has asked if there is any day ticket barbel fishing up there? I havent been up to the trent since my matchfishing days so i am a bit out of touch!! any suggestions greatly appreciated.:D:D
I remember using the old bronze maggots in my match fishing days, always found them best for chub, i even used to dye them myself!! stopped that after finding out the dye was carcinogenic!! Reds were always my choice for perch but for barbel i have always found whites to be the best.

In small sizes drennan super specialists or super spades take some beating, as do the pallatrax hooks although these are quite shiny and seem a little larger than the drennan hooks in the same size!

If you are using small lumps of meat then the drennan super specialists or drennan barbel hooks are fine, for big lumps i use raptors in various sizes depending on the lump of meat i am using.
