I love the Royalty, one or two trips a year, fishing famous well known swims, spotting fish, etc... just sublime![]()
Quite agree Ian...if you ignore the less picturesque parts (that are only visible in certain areas anyway) and just enjoy the beauty of the rest, and immerse yourself in the history of the place....then it can be truly magic. Like you, I don't visit often...but when I do, I love it....and there are monsters to be caught
Cheers, Dave.
It's a terrible place, I wouldn't go if I were you!
And it's expensive, and there's no fish, and it's in Christchurch too.
You won't catch me there!
I can catch 50 carp a day on my local puddle and it's only a fiver (no unhooking mat needed).
Barbel fishing's over rated, they all look the same.
Jeff
With you on that Jeff, rubbish fishing.
The best I've managed so far is a 16.4 back in February, not worth bothering really!
