I have two Mark Tunley built 11ft Hi-s Small Water specialist rods 1lb tc. In as new condition, sweet little rods. Duplon full length handles with stainless button butt cap. These were custom built and the "off the Peg" ones go for 250 each new, these were a bit more due to being customer made...

So you would recommend a knife eh? Tell me what you would do with it.. I hate the scum that nick tackle as much as anyone else but most people would either end up badly injured or worse, or in prison using a knife for self defence.

Just out of interest, back in the late 80's (River Lee) I had a 9lb fish 3 times in one session (12 hrs sesion). The fish was so unmistakable, had a bright red scar right accross it's righthand gill cover (from one side of gill to the other). It weighed more on the second time I weighed it...

Interested to know what the problems were you had wth it? was it just the net quality. Regards Martin

That is a shame because one of the other plus points of these rods is that they take a bit of a beating compared to carbon tubes! M
