Just been over for a weeks carping which turned into a (blanking) camping trip. No brexit issues whatsoever.
Another vote for anti tangle sleeves and feathering the cast before impact. Would just add that whatever you opt for, please consider the safety aspect for the fish and ensure that the fish can drop the feeder/weight if the mainline breaks.
Probably years out of date but is the Evesham town stretch no longer day ticket? Used to fish the stretch below it (right bank) called Huxleys too on a day ticket?

Just for balance, I sent an, admittedly old, TXI delkim back for a latching problem. 'Sorry, we don't stock parts for that model' was the Delkim response. It wasn't what I wanted to hear. Got it sorted by the guy at ATT. Works fine now. Pretty poor by Delkim really.
I use a rod sling that I bought from Fosters circa 1987 when he used to buy them from a local guy. It's had a couple of modifications and some extra velcro but is otherwise the original model. Perfect for what I want!

Fished it a couple of times over the last 5 years under good conditions and its been utter pants. No evidence of tench rolling or fizzing and just a couple of scabby-looking bream for our efforts
I have a 12ft Normark float or match rod which has two tips; a spliced carbon tip and a hollow carbon tip. Both the male and female spigots have a stainless steel band and the cork handle had 'reel fit' plastic winch fittings.
The rod is probably 20 - 30 years old and I'd be interested to...
