Would also imagine it depends on the stretch.
ie How near it is to a main road etc.
If the salt does have an impact, nearer the main road the greater the concentration of salt would be.
It's all a bit awkward really.
It just does not look big enough.
If you'd weighed that yourself you would look at the scales and say, "that can't be right......"
Couldn't get near the river with the car this morning so just took the minimum.
Had a 2 rod quiver.
A Korum Tackle / Bait bag. (All my bits fit in here including a decent sized flask.)
Korum Lightweight Chair.
Thanks for the replies. :)
I use the drennan isotopes with avon tops but not too sure with quivertips.
(worried about catching and snapping)
Are the enterprise ones less prone to snagging?
I cast to anything that moves at the moment!
If its moving in this temp you would have to think that it was moving to feed.
At least thats what I'd hope.
10lb main line.
Running ledger. (I like the Korum Feedabeads)
Buffer bead to a size 8 swivel and a combi hook link to a size 8 Korda curve shank.
Hair long enough to take 2 x 8mm or 10mm pellets tight against the bend or 1 pellet wrapped in cheese paste. :)
I don't know if its just me...
Still trying to break that 5lb mark on the WA.
Had a 4lb 15oz on Sunday along with a few others around the 4lb mark.
Took one on cheese paste.
Wrapping the paste around a 7mm pellet.
Its interesting watching the bite develop with lots of knocks and taps before the take.
First full season on the rivers after the barbel so difficult to measure success (or failure!) Caught a few so must be ok. :)
2010 goals to keep learning, to catch more consistently and would love to catch a barbel on the stick.
