    RDAA River Kennet

Thanks all, might be me being a bit dumb but not sure the information on their website is the clearest, in terms of new membership. Is there a limit to numbers on whichever ticket gives me access to all the rivers and allows me to fish nights? Cheers Martin

    Old Daiwa powermesh twin tip

I stupidly sold a pair of these last year, absolutely loved them. Mine were 12ft 1.5lb, does anyone know if they did the same rod in 1.25lb?

    RDAA River Kennet

Cheers mate, it said on their website there was a few tickets available for the coming season but I don't know how up to date it is, I enquired as thought why not.

    RDAA River Kennet

Cheers mate, appreciate the response. I actually enquired about a ticket for the AA Syndicate this morning as I stumbled across it whilst searching old posts on here. What's it like on there mate, is it fairly quiet being a syndicate? Friends of mine fished Burghfield years ago and I remember...

    River Blackwater

I'm sure some of you are thinking, "Not this guy again!" every time I start a new thread but this time I'm not asking about yet another rod, I've actually got some pictures of some actual barbel to share. So, a couple of years ago when I wasn't enjoying chasing carp I dabbled in a bit of barbel...

    RDAA River Kennet

I'd like to give the Kennet a go for the upcoming season. I'm well aware it's a tricky river but that's why I want to fish it, one of my best ever seasons fishing for carp I had 2 in about 50 nights but they were both special and meant more to me BECAUSE of all the blanks so it's not that I...

    Torrix Tri Tip

Just seen this on Facebook Market place. Got me wondering, does anyone know what possible configurations would be available with the Torrix? E.g. would it be possible to have a 1.25 and 1.75 twin tips?

    Perch

Had a very nice last couple of days of the season up my local canal, just a few hours each day and I had perch of 2lb 10oz, 2lb 9oz, 2lb 4oz, 2lb 3 oz and two at 1lb 15oz. Terrible photos as two of them I'm holding the fish one handed whilst trying to take a selfie on my phone, one a random...

    Drennan super specialist

It doesn't mate, just a standard tip ring.

    Mark Tunley specialist multi tip

Thank you to all that have replied. There's absolutely no doubt I'm getting one, just need to decide whether or not to...... •1- Get a second Torrix made up so I have a pair and buy a single Tunley. Or •2- Get a pair of these. I'd be wanting them, if a buy a pair, mainly for barbel fishing...

    Drennan super specialist

Yeah, I've got no idea mate but be nice to know one way or another. Like I say mine certainly doesn't look like it's been replaced, definitely not due to a snapped tip which is normally the reason to replace a tip ring but I can't say for sure.

    Drennan super specialist

Thanks all, mine doesn't have a screw in tip ring, not sure if that means it's been repaired at some point although it doesn't look like it has 🤔

    Drennan super specialist

Managed to pick this up for £30 from my local tackle shop. I know nothing about it other than uts 12ft 1.25lb but I assume, like most Drennan rods, it's pretty decent? Cheers Martin

    Not selling

This just popped up on my Facebook feed, thought it may have been of interest to someone on here.

    If you could only have......

3 rods, one for trotting, one for general barbel fishing and one for chub or smaller species what would they be? I appreciate there are so many variables but for this purpose let's assume its a fairly small river, certainly nothing like the Thames or Trent or at least somehere you havent got to...

    Sorry, me again 😂

I love my old gear mate, all my Carp fishing stuff is 'oldskool', old Aqua bivvy's and brollies, Daiwa SS3000's, Steve Neville stainless and alarms, I haven't bought new carp gear for years. I'd absolutely love to be able to use my Armalites up the river, they are wonderful rods but quite...

    Sorry, me again 😂

Apologies for bombarding your forum but I have another question, and I'm sure there will be many more! I have an old pair of Vic Gibson built MK1 Century Armalites. 12ft 2.75lb. They are obviously built to be used as carp rods, 40mm butt ring, 16mm tip. I was wondering whether they would work...

    New centrerpin

Cheers mate, I was just curious as assumed due to the weight everyone would suggest them but I don't like the look of them, much prefer the solid back plate and I've decided I'm going to get one that I like the look of the most as they all seem to be very similar.
