Just to clarify, there is no night fishing on the Catton and Walton sections of the Upper Trent on the BMAA ticket, all the other sections are O.K.
If in doubt check out BMAA web site
I’ve got bbc,met office and accuweather on my phone and the forecasts vary( I think bbc is more or less the same as accuweather)but as Edward stated a gentle breeze turned out to be just short of a gale on Sunday (26th),I only took a lightweight brolly and really struggled in a “gentle breeze” 🌪:(
Environment Agency for me,gives levels for the previous 4 days and on some rivers the predicted levels for the next day or so,great app 👍 👍👍
Also got the weather apps as well so you can check out the predicted rainfall as well
A few years ago my Son had a barbel on a sardine dead bait intended for pike on the Severn, not foul hooked but fair and square in the mouth, also a friend did ok using small chunks of lamprey 👍
Used my new Trakker NXG 2 Rod Padded Sleeve for the first time today................Well pleased, much easier unloading/loading than the Korum, more comfortable carrying (I’m 5ft-7 at most) and the zip goes full length,so all in all glad I made the change, highly recommended 👍👍 (blanked but that’s...
As Robert says, check out Graham’s advert in the classified section,I’ve had a pair of the Special Advanced for a number of years and found them to be fabulous rods, capable of chucking a 4 oz lead and a large pva bag to the far side of the Upper Trent but with a lovely through action when playing...
The original 2 rod from way back was very similar to the latest version but with more outer pockets,I had one but one of the zips gave up the ghost after a couple of years,so I then bought the mk2 version which was the same as the one bought by Richard but as I stated in another post was very...
I’ve been using the Korum 2 rod total protection since they first came out and indeed it is a good product but it is very fiddly getting your rods in and out due to the stiffening and the overall “compactness “ so now I’ve decided to try the Trakker 2 rod padded sleeve as recommended in previous...
I’ve been using Free Spirit Specialist Advanced in 2.25 t.c. for the past 11 years, originally on the Dove and latterly the Upper Trent and Severn, absolutely love em.I think you will be more than pleased with the Hi S,s
Not the same rod I know but Free Spirit do produce excellent specialist rods 👍 👍
Deffo made the right choice..................sitting in torrential rain on slippery banks watching motionless tips as the river rises around your feet or a nice warm house and pie and chips...............no brainer, they’ll still be there when things get back to normal 👍 👍
