    Another Rod Question!

I'm looking to get a heavier rod for Barbel to have in my arsenal, I notice I can get a 2lb 12 ft Torrix for about the same as an Infinity Evo 2.25, I already have a 1.75 Infinity which I really like, but I also read a lot about how great the Torrix is. Any thoughts?

    The state of our rivers

Interesting idea, I'd like to see how long it would take the "underfunded agency" to come up with any number of Bailiffs to check!

    English river disgrace

All of us, anglers or not, can do things which may help. Think about what we put down our drains for starters, one way or another, via treatment works or not, it will end up in a river!

    What are the chances?

A few years back I was trotting for Grayling and hooked a fish, which on inspection was very distinctive, it had some damage on one side towards the tail. About half an hour later, I caught it again from exactly the same lie. When I returned it for the second time, it decided to rest just...

    Maxima chameleon

Interestingly enough, I was looking at some spools in the tackle shop the other day, and it looked a lot lighter and redder than it used to be.

    New chub record?

I guess as it says, no witnesses means it is very unlikely to go through, in fact I can't see how it could.

Trotting on the Wye - New member

Imo you don't need fancy rigs. I find something like a 4 or 5 gram avon or bolo float works well, with most of the shot bulked at about 3/4 depth and a suitable dropper shot. Personally I like a small swivel and hooklenghth, I'll use 9 or 10lb mainline and a 6 or 7lb hooklength. Smallish...

    Wanted... Air Rifle

Guy, you should be able to pick up a very decent springer second hand from any good gunshop.

    Luncheon meat

I like the small corkscrew things as well, seem to hold the meat very well for legering. On the float just pushing the hook in seems fine
